As the number of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) cases continues to rise around the globe, in the immediate future it is inevitable this issue will become substantially worse before it gets better.
It is the collective responsibility of everyone to ensure we are acting with a sense of urgency and responsibility to both ourselves and those around us in an effort to minimise the transmission and impact of the virus.
The government has installed a State of Emergency for a minimum of four weeks here in Victoria including restrictions of gatherings over 500 and others which can be found via the link below.
As a duty of care to all of our members and their families the Chrysler Restorers Club has come to the unfortunate decision that all meetings and events from Friday 20th March will be cancelled until further notice.
We hope that we have your understanding in this as we head into some uncertain times. The committee has not come to this decision lightly but do so in what we believe is in the best interest
of our members to minimise the risk to all. We must follow the recommendations of the World Health Organisation and our own government in what is deemed to be the safest for our members and their families.
Of course, if you are displaying symptoms that are associated with COVID-19 you should self-isolate and seek professional medical advice.
Information about self-assessment for your risk of COVID-19 can be found on the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) website:
I ask of you, to please contact and inform our members that are not on electronic communication with us in regards to these notices as they come though.
We will continue to keep you informed regarding our events in future months. In the meantime, please continue to look out for each other.
Kind Regards
Rachelle Dyer President Chrysler Restorers Club of Australia Victoria Inc.
